Recipe:
- 1 cup white (granulated) sugar
- 1 cup butter softened (salted Land O’ Lakes)
- 1 cup light brown sugar packed
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract (I used a special batch a friend made for me over this past year)
- 2 large eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp sea salt (this one is key – I grind 1 tsp of sea salt down)
- 1.5 Ghirardelli milk chocolate chips (this can be mixed with their dark chocolate chips too)
How to:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Mix dry ingredients together: Flour, baking powder, baking soda & salt
- Mix butter, brown and white sugar together. Mix eggs and vanilla until smooth and slightly fluffy
- Mix dry ingredients in with wet
- Add 1 pack of Ghirardelli milk chocolate chips

Baking
- Savvy Tip: Skip the “pam” and line your baking pans with parchment paper for easy clean up!
- I have a cookie scoop (linked here), but if you don’t – create approximately 1.5 inch balls of dough
- *create an evenly spaced spread for enough cooking room
- Baking time is approximately 8 minutes, this will depend on your oven but the key with these is to pull them out when they just starting to turn brown (this will help for a chewy soft cookie).
- Let them sit on the pan for about 2 minutes (until cooled) before moving onto cookie tray
Enjoy! Tag us if you make them and thanks for stopping by! XO #staysavvy
